Thomas van den Valentyn

Designed in collaboration with Thomas van den Valentyn — known for the Beethoven Chamber Music Hall and Archive in Bonn, the Max Ernst Museum in Brühl, and the restoration of Berlin’s Presidential Palace — Valentyn’s applies the same precision and purpose to every detail. Materials, proportions, and spatial flow are all considered to create a workplace that feels timeless and functions seamlessly.

Spaces

Built for businesses of any size, Valentyn’s spans over 2,100 square metres with 43 private rooms and six bookable conference rooms. At street level, the restaurant and garden provide a hub for events, meetings and conversation, while the basement floor is home to our gym and wellness club.

Meeting and Event Spaces

Valentyn’s offers meeting spaces that go beyond the ordinary — from private rooms with advanced conferencing technology, to the restaurant, garden, or event spaces reimagined for your gathering. We can arrange everything from barista-quality coffee to full catering, creating a seamless experience for you and your guests.

The Little Tomato

The Little Tomato is inspired by Cologne’s legendary 1980s restaurant Tomate — a vibrant collaboration between acclaimed chef Franz Keller and Klaus Lüders, who also worked with us on the Valentyn’s project. At the time, Cologne was a cultural high point and a magnet for Europe’s artists and creatives.

As a tribute to the original Tomate, The Little Tomato features New York artist Ben Schonzeit’s Harlequins. Today, it’s a versatile, art-filled venue for members and guests — ideal for lunches, meetings, private bookings or special events. Each day, selected chefs prepare fresh, seasonal dishes, making it not just a place to eat, but a place to connect and create.

Garden

The garden is a shaded courtyard with a fountain and parrots in the trees. An outdoor barbecue makes it great for grilled lunches or after-work gatherings — and with direct access to the restaurant it’s ideal for events or as a place for your team to take a break.
